Four different events in just 30 hours! July 1st (Keizer) & July 2nd (McMinnville & Newport)

We’re going to be busy this weekend! First Friday Comedy at the Willamette Valley Comedy Club @ Keizer Homegrown Theatre (KHT) is back for July with two terrific events for the Salem/Keizer area!

We start Friday, July 1st off at 6 PM with our all-ages Intro To Improv in Salem/Keizer, OR class with instructor Tina Högström and get it really kicked off at 8 PM with our monthly comedy showcase.

Coming all the way from Bend, 4 Jesters & A Queen is a comedy showcase featuring an array of up-and-coming comics hosted by the Queen of the show, Deb Auchery. (All of this month’s free tickets have been grabbed, but Reserved Seating is still available!)

And then on Saturday, we have two different laugh opportunities for you! In downtown McMinnville at 3rd Street Pizza Company’s Moonlight Theater, Marc Yaffee will be delighting the masses with some top-notch comedy that has been seen on TV’s Showtime Network, Dry Bar Comedy, and PBS.

And for those looking for an excuse to visit the coast, PNW Comedy will be in Newport at Jack Sprats Bayfront with the hilarious duo of Amanda Arnold and Ryan Danley! Plus the very funny Dash Thompson. Headliner Amanda Arnold has had her stand-up comedy featured on the FOX TV show “Laughs” and Ryan Danley is an up-and-coming comedian and writer that has had his work featured on the comedy/satire site TheHardTimes.Net.

Named a Comic To Watch by Comedy Central, Daniel Van Kirk is a comedian that you might know from Bob’s Burgers, Comedy Central, and the NFL Network. You can also hear him every week co-hosting podcasts, “Dumb People Town” with the Sklar Brothers and “Pen Pals” along with Rory Scovel! Daniel tours around the country performing at comedy clubs and at festivals including Just For Laughs Montreal, SF Sketchfest, The Moontowner Comedy Festival, and more. July 2nd First Friday Open Mic in Salem/Keizer

We’re back with our First Friday Open Mic at the Willamette Valley Comedy Club at Keizer Homegrown Theatre and we’re celebrating fully opening back up with longer set times! This curated event allows comics new and old to try out new material. Every comic on stage will get 5 to 7 minutes tonight, with the exception of comedians coming in from out of the Salem/Keizer area, which will instead get 5 to 10 minutes on stage (up to 10 minutes if you’re doing well).

The rules are simple: absolutely no hate speech, don’t punch down, and have fun! If you break any of the rules your set time will be cut short.

Tonight’s show is Hosted by the very funny Jared Richard and our closer this evening is Mike Lindsey (Unloaded Comedy)! Day-Of-Show tickets are just $5 online or at the door and FREE TICKETS are always available with 24-hour advanced registration. Doors open and seating begins at 7:30 PM with showtime starting promptly at 8 PM. Since we’re running slightly longer set times this evening, tonight’s show should be about two hours long from start to finish (8-10 PM).
