July 2nd First Friday Open Mic in Salem/Keizer

We’re back with our First Friday Open Mic at the Willamette Valley Comedy Club at Keizer Homegrown Theatre and we’re celebrating fully opening back up with longer set times! This curated event allows comics new and old to try out new material. Every comic on stage will get 5 to 7 minutes tonight, with the exception of comedians coming in from out of the Salem/Keizer area, which will instead get 5 to 10 minutes on stage (up to 10 minutes if you’re doing well).
 
The rules are simple: absolutely no hate speech, don’t punch down, and have fun! If you break any of the rules your set time will be cut short.
 
Tonight’s show is Hosted by the very funny Jared Richard and our closer this evening is Mike Lindsey (Unloaded Comedy)! Day-Of-Show tickets are just $5 online or at the door and FREE TICKETS are always available with 24-hour advanced registration. Doors open and seating begins at 7:30 PM with showtime starting promptly at 8 PM. Since we’re running slightly longer set times this evening, tonight’s show should be about two hours long from start to finish (8-10 PM).

Saturday Night Stand Up w/ Gabriel Rutledge & Amanda Arnold in Salem/Keizer, OR (July 3, 2021)

Stand-up comedy is back at the Willamette Valley Comedy Club @ Keizer Homegrown Theatre on July 3rd with Gabriel Rutledge & Amanda Arnold!

Tickets double feature event cost just $10 through Eventbrite or $15 the day of the show at the door. Showtime is at 8 PM. These indoor shows feature some content not suitable for everyone, so these events are for those aged 18 and up. A Concession Booth will have water, candy, and popcorn available for purchase before and during the show.

The theater is located at 980 Chemawa Rd NE, Keizer, OR 97303. The Willamette Valley Comedy Club is an independent enterprise producing shows within the space. Seating begins thirty (30) minutes before the scheduled start time. Masks are still required at the theater at all times. No outside food or drink allowed in the theater. No heckling the comics or disturbing the performance. Breaking any of these rules is grounds for immediate removal from the show.

Belinda Carroll & Friends on Saturday, June 26th in Salem/Keizer!

The Willamette Valley Comedy Club is proud to present: Belinda Carroll & Friends live on Saturday, June 26 at 8 pm!

Post-pandemic, Belinda Carroll is a walking existential crisis. Is she an introvert, or has she just been stuck in her apartment alone for 15 months? Founder of Portland Queer Comedy Festival, Belinda has been writing, singing, improv-ing, and standing up for over 10 years. An All-Jane Comedy Festival veteran, she has performed and produced hundreds of shows, at festivals, and colleges and has two long-running stand-up comedy showcases, SMUT and Outlandish. She has opened for everyone from Kids in the Hall’s Scott Thompson to Nico Santos, to Erasure. She has written for PQ Monthly, Cracked.com, Huffington Post, and Portland Mercury.

1And guess what?! The best part is Belinda is bringing some friends to keep the laughs rolling all night! That means on Saturday, Dahlia Belle, Kat Buckley, Chris Kemper, and Seth Milstein will also be telling jokes to the adoring audience at one of Salem/Keizer’s best places to see a comedy show.
