UFO’S: A Comedy Showcase & More in McMinnville on May 14th!

The McMenamins UFO Fest, the McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival, and the Alien Parade (3 PM) are all happening today in McMinnville! And because The Reel Hollywood Video is a gem of the community, they’ve added a few comedy shows to the 2022 McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival!

That means we have the Riff Show (MST3K-style show) happening right after the parade at about 4:30-5 pm AND THEN we have UFO’S: A Comedy Showcase in Downtown McMinnville, OR kicking off at 8:30 with Susan Rice, Don Gavitte, Liam Riddell, and Tina Högström!

Now, you might be asking yourself, “This is gonna cost me.” But, you’d be half incorrect. The Riff Show at 4:30 at 3rd Street Pizza Company’s Moonlight Theater is free! (It’s mostly for people just walking around after the parade wanting to get some pizza and drinks.) The main show, however, does have a cover. But it’s very cheap (just ten big ones!); so get your alien-loving, UFO-curious buttocks to Mac by 3 PM for the parade for an afternoon and evening you won’t soon forget. For ages 18 and up.

Comedy w/ Andrew Sleighter (Dry Bar, Comedy Central, Conan) in McMinnville! (March 18th, 2022)

Live comedy is back! On Friday, March 18th at 9 PM, the Willamette Valley Comedy Club & The Reel Hollywood Video present Comedy w/ Andrew Sleighter (Dry Bar, Conan, Comedy Central) and More in downtown McMinnville!

Andrew performed on Last Comic Standing, recorded a comedy special for Dry Bar and made his late-night stand-up debut on Conan. He’s also written and performed sketch comedy for Comedy Central and wrote and blogged for the Sports Show with Norm Macdonald on Comedy Central. Most recently Andrew appeared on the Late Late Show with James Corden.

Tickets cost $12 through Eventbrite or $15 the day of the show at the door. The show is located at 433 NE 3rd Street, McMinnville, OR, inside 3rd Street Pizza Company’s Moonlight Theater. The Willamette Valley Comedy Club is an independent enterprise producing shows within the space. Food and drink will be available before and during the show. The show starts at 9 pm, with the box office open at 8:30 PM.

Coastal Comedy @ Seadog in Lincoln, City, OR (March 11th, 2022)

This is happening tomorrow and you should come!! (It’s over halfway sold out and it looks like it will be a full house!!) The fearless foursome of Dash Thompson, Jaren George, Ryan Danley, and Tina Högström are riding on into Seadogs at The Eventuary in Lincoln City, Oregon and it’s going to be one heckuva comedy show! Each and every one of these comedians is a delight in their own right and they’re all quickly becoming feature-and-headliner-worthy acts that are rightfully being booked everywhere.

I’ll be posted up doing double duty by hosting and running the door (hint, hint, lol), so come on out and enjoy a night of great food (seriously, the food is amazing) in a beautiful location at the coast.

General Admission (Free) – These LIMITED General Admission tickets are free through Eventbrite with advanced registration. And once they’re gone, they’re gone! (We’re out of these tickets as of the day of the show.) They give the ticket holder a seat to the show that is Movie Theater-style, ‘First Come, First Seated’ in the stage area. Tipping the comics is greatly encouraged. Any tickets not sold ahead of the show may also be purchased at the door the night of the event for the price of $5.
